ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

The institute is proud to announce 2 Year Post Graduate M.Tech course in Electronics & Communication Engineering(ECE). This course has been introduced in the current academic year. The session has been started w.e.f September10, 2011.

Besides this,the institute is already running 4 Year B.Tech. Degree course in the following disciplines:

The various Departments have been maintaining the state of the art equipment in various laboratories to train the students as per the standards set up by the University from the point of view of applicability in the Industry. Industrial design and development shall be central idea while conducting practicals, design experiments and projects.

In spite of the use of conventional nomenclature,the programme shall be different-both in curriculum design and delivery. There shall be emphasis on synthesis, creativity, hands on experience, innovation, communication and entrepreneurship. Learning would be largely based on real-world situation in different sectors. This would bring in concept of verticals which could be (a) Automobile sector, (b) Aerospace and defence sector, (c) Industrial Machinery sector,  (d)  Engineering  Services  sector,  (e)  High-tech  Electronics, VLSI design, Nanotechnology  (f) Embedded Systems (g) Intelligent Systems and (h) Consumer  Durables/  Life-style  Products  etc.  For  each  vertical,  key  industry players  would  be  identified  and  invited  to  partner  with  the  institute  for  both academic and research activities.

Central Computing Facilities with 375 systems are providing facilities for round the clock Internet access via 5 Mbps radio link.

The Institute workshop is a large spacious building housed in two blocks. One block contains Carpentry, Fitting, Welding, Foundry and other block contains Machine Shop.
